Another Layout

Hey Everyone!! :) This picture has been sitting on my desk for what seems like forever. It was taken back in October while we were at the renaissance festival (one of my favorite places). I printed it out and then did not know what I wanted to create with it. Finally I decided to try and come up with something. I just love how it turned out. :) Most products I used were by Heidi Swapp. I guess you could say I am a bit obsessed with her products. Only the tissue wrap and sequin stars were not by Heidi Swapp. I started with a stencil and sprayed the background, and then traced around the stencil. Then I started layering tons of Heidi Swapp papers from different collections. I used epiphany crafts round 25 tool, a sticker that says the word "beautiful", a rub on that says "togetherness", and clear pop letters from Heidi Swapp.
I hope you like what I came up with! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Hello Sweet Kitty

Surprise! I have created another layout!! :) I have been loving creating layouts so much lately. But not to worry, with December coming up, I am going to be making my first December Daily this year!! So anyways on to the layout... This one is of my aunt and uncle's cat and me. I think he is the cutest cat ever!! All of the paper I used is from Heidi Swapp, most of it is from the mixed company paper pad. I did use one paper from her serendipity paper pad also. I used her banner delights and a few color magic pieces. :) I love color magic! I did some misting and splattering on the back ground with color shine sprays. The colors I used were mustard, coral, and citron. I used the epiphany crafts round 25 tool for the little embellishment next to the large "hello" circle. That tool is one of my favorites!! :) The last few things used on this layout are 3 gold foam stars, Tim Holtz tissue wrap, and a shipping tag for hidden journaling. I love using hidden journaling. I hope that you like what I have created! There is a start to finish video down below! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Beautiful Leaves

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the fall weather! I know I have been enjoying the cooler weather. I wanted to share with you a layout I created. This one is of me, my sister and her dog. We were blowing the leaves in her yard and decided to take a break! :) This layout is super simple but I love it! All of the paper used on this layout are from Maggie Holmes. I used a stamp from Little Yellow Bicycle, Thickers, gold color shine, wood veneers from Studio Calico, glitter, sequins, and enamel dots. I hope you enjoy the process video! Thank you for stopping by!!

Sparkle - Be Yourself

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous week so far. I went to the Carolina Renaissance Festival the first weekend in October. There I saw Twig the Fairy! She is always so much fun to see and one of my favorite parts of going to the Renaissance Festival. I knew I  had to create a layout with this picture as soon as it was taken! I used A LOT of glitter because fairies love glitter. :) The background paper is by Maggie Holmes. I used tissue paper by Tim Holtz and a few embellishments from Heidi Swapp. The little mushroom is from recollections, I thought it fit perfectly. :) I titled the layout Sparkle Be Yourself. I think that you should always be yourself, if that means being a fairy all the time then go for it! :) Be whoever YOU are. I hope you like the layout I created and the video below.

Fall Layout

Hey everyone! I have created a new layout. This one is very simple, I wasn't to sure what I was going to do when I sat down to make this but I like how it turned out. The colors I picked out weren't something I would normally pick out, I wanted to try something different. :) I used the Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go paper for this layout. I used two sprays, one in white from the Dylusions line and the other in bronze from Heidi Swapp. I also used a photo overlay from Maggie Holmes, Studio Calico wood veneer, and enamel dots. I hope you enjoy the start to finish video below! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Youtube Channel!!

Hey everyone! I am very excited to announce that I have started a youtube channel where I will be posting all kinds of scrapbooking and crafty videos!! In this video I share a start to finish scrapbook layout. I wanted it to look like a chalkboard but I wanted a lot of color. I started with Gesso and a Heidi Swapp stencil and then used water colors and Gelatos. I also took a white pigment ink pad and rubbed it all around the page. That gave it the chalkboard feel I was going for. I then used some cute little die cuts from Studio Calico, and a banner from Heidi Swapp. I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for stopping by!!

Reece Boy :)

Hey everyone! I have been loving playing with different inks and sprays. I decided to make this layout of Reece. He is always so happy, so I think all the colors on this page work well with his personality. I used molding paste and a lot of different sprays for the background. I have been in love with enamel dots lately and couldn't resist putting those on the page. The banners are from Heidi Swapp's clear pop line. I used Thickers to spell out his name and Tim Holtz tiny type letters. I used the Epiphany Crafts round 25 tool and bubble caps to make the camera and star embellishments. I LOVE their tools, they are awesome!! :) I am very happy with how this layout turned out! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

NC Zoo Layout :)

Hey everyone! My husband and I went to the zoo last week. We had so much fun there, and we were so excited to see baby gorillas!! We went early so most of the animals were active! :) I created this layout from our day at the zoo. I used a few sheets from the Maggie Holmes paper pad. Also in the background is tissue paper from Tim Holtz. I love that tissue paper, it just comes in a roll and you tear off however much you need. It is actually called tissue wrap. Anyways..I did some stamping and used a few stickers (not sure where those a from, just found them in my stash). This was really simple to make and I love how it turned out. :) Thanks for stopping by!!

Fall Wreaths

I know it is not fall yet, but it is right around the corner and I am ready! I have been loving the cooler weather, and I can't wait for everything fall related. My mom and I made two wreaths together, one for her front door and one for mine. We had a lot of small pumpkins left over from my wedding and that is what inspired us to make wreaths. We used grape vine wreaths and covered them in fall leaves and flowers. There are two small pumpkins on both of the wreaths along with burlap bows. On one of the wreaths we put sparkly tulle behind the bow. We are both beyond happy with how they turned out. :)

Beach Mini Album!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great summer!! I created a mini album from a recent trip to Myrtle Beach. I used a wooden frame for the cover, I found it at Michael's craft store. I painted it blue and also sprayed it with Heidi Swapp color shine. The title of the album is "fabulous BEACH" I just love that! :) The word fabulous is a stamp from Heidi Swapp and the blue letters are also from Heidi Swapp. (Her stuff is pretty awesome :) and I'm kind of obsessed with it!!) This album is chipboard and canvas, the canvas is glued to one side of the chipboard. The album was pre-made, and it is from Michael's also (in the dollar section). I mostly used scrap paper on the pages and some paper from the Heidi Swapp "No Limits" paper pad. This will bring back great memories one day!

First 5k Run Layout

Hey everyone! I wanted to share this layout I finished last night. My husband and me completed our very first 5k run. We didn't run the whole thing but that was fine with me, I was still proud of both of us. On this layout I used paper from the Amy Tangerine "Sketchbook" line and also Heidi Swapp "No Limits" & "Sugar Chic". I used washi tape, American Crafts Thickers, and also some random buttons and brads. The stamps that say "remember" & "today" are from the Heidi Swapp stamp set that you can find at Michael's craft store. Over all I am very happy with how this layout turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

12x12 Layouts!

I have recently been into doing more 12x12 layouts. Here are two of my most recent ones.

This layout is titled "Lily & Me" I embossed around the edge of the paper then painted over it. I used distress paints and stains and also liquitex acrylic paint. I used Heidi Swapp color shine sprays and color magic paper. I love how this one turned out.

I titled this layout "fill today with light and LAUGHTER and love". I printed "fill today with light and laughter" on vellum that I found on Heidi Swapps blog. It was a free printable that you can find here. I used liquitex paint on the background and also made splatters with color shine in mustard. I layered papers stickers and star sequins to get this look.

Thickers!!!!

Hey guys! So sorry I have been gone for a long time. A lot has happened since I last posted, I married the love of my life, Alex in November of 2011, and we are so happy. I am now a dance teacher, and I love every minute of it. I plan on posting a lot more. Hopefully a few times a week. But anyways lets move on to why we are all here. I was at Target yesterday and there is a Marshall's right beside it. I thought I would stop in to see if they had more thickers in yet. All of Marshall's thickers are $1.49!! (I had been checking for weeks!) I was in luck!! They had stocked up. They didn't have a lot but I did clean them out!! The guy at the check out lane said they had just put them out! So glad I stopped in. I ended up going home with 14 packs.
