Lantern Festival Layout

Hey everyone!! I know it has been quite a while. Life has just taken over like always. I have still been posting on Instagram and YouTube, so if you don't follow me there and you want to head on over to check it out.
I have a new layout to share and there is also a process video to go along with it!! :) Last weekend my husband and I went to a Lantern Festival. It was so beautiful and I wish it would have lasted longer. I felt like I was in the movie Tangled. :) Here are a couple of pictures from the festival.

I love this picture my husband took of me, I knew going to the festival that I wanted a picture like this but I didn't know it would turn out this good haha. :) SO of course I had to make a layout with it.
I decided to keep it simple on my layout. My main elements were chipboard frames and acetate leaves. The rest were just tiny embellishments. I explain everything in the process video. Now onto the layout!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Talk to you all soon! :)

Update

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years! I know I did! :)
Since I haven't posted here in a while I thought I would share a couple of projects that I have worked on lately.

This layout is one of my favorites! We went to the renaissance festival and saw two fairies, so I knew I had to create something sparkly!! I just love the way it turned out. I have a process video of this layout on my YouTube Channel.

I created this layout for Epiphany Crafts. It is a review of 2014. I really love the way it turned out. I just printed my pictures in one inch circles and then on a couple of them I put bubble caps on top. really simple to do. :) The part that took up the most time was deciding where to put the pictures. I used Thickers for the main highlights of the year.

This is a video of the mini album I created for our trip to Florida. We went in July of 2014 and I have just recently finished it. It is a little bigger than I would have liked it to be but I do really like the way it turned out. :) Hope you enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed my quick update. I will be posting here more often. :) Be sure to follow me on Instagram and YouTube so you won't miss a thing.

New Kitty Layout

Hello everyone, I have a fun layout to share with you today! We recently rescued a kitten, he is sweet and very playful. Since I think it is important to document just about everything, I thought he needed a scrapbook page. I started this layout with a stencil and a gold spray, then I painted on glue and chose bright and fun colors of glitter to add to the page. I found a piece of paper that had small words all over it, I punched out the small words with the Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 tool and added bubble caps to them. I placed a couple of the ovals on top of stars to make them stand out. They really pop off of the page!

Be sure to stop by their blog! :)

Fall Banner for Epiphany Crafts

Hello everyone!
It is finally fall and I must say fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I especially love the colors of the leaves when they change. Since I love fall so much I decided to make a fall banner. I found a few sheets of fall colored paper and fall colored flowers that I wanted to use. I cut out large pennant shapes on my Silhouette Cameo, but you could do it by hand if you don’t have a machine, I also cut out the letters that are on the pennants. I added fall colored flowers in clusters to each pennant, I also included wood veneer and epoxy shapes. The Epiphany Crafts Round 25 tool and the Epiphany Crafts Heart 25 tool went so well with the clusters of flowers and they add extra interest.

Happy Memories

Hello everyone! I created these two layouts for Epiphany Crafts. I was so excited to find out that I was a part of their Guest Design Team! :) I just love all of their products, the tools are amazing!!
My husband and I went to Disney World recently and that means lots of pictures to scrapbook!
I have two layouts to share with you today. On the first layout I used the Shape Studio Pennant 25 tool. I love how you can create the perfect banner to match any project. I punched out four of the pennants and put them under my photo leaving some longer than others. I used pop dots to adhere my photo down to raise the photo off the background so that the pennants would slide under the photo easily.

For the second layout I used the Shape Studio Chevron tool to make arrows. I wanted to make sure everyone knew my title is “Happy Memories”, because every time we leave Disney World there is so many Happy Memories.

You can hop on over to the Epiphany Crafts blog to see all the other talented Designers and Guest Designers.   http://blog.epiphanycrafts.com/2014/page/2/

I hope you enjoyed my layouts! Thanks for stopping by!!! :)

Custom T-Shirts!!

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well! :)
With our up coming trip to Disney World I decide to create a few custom t-shirts. I love the way they turned out so I thought I would share with all of you how I created them. I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out the designs and I also used the Silhouette Studio program to create my designs.

You want to get your design ready in Silhouette Studio. You want to be sure to mirror your design, so when you put it on your shirt you will be able to read it.

Once you are happy with your design and you are ready to cut make sure you choose what material you are using in the Silhouette Studio. Also you want to make sure that your blade setting is the same on the machine as it says on the program.

I tested my design on paper before I cut the actual heat transfer material. By doing this I made sure my design was the right size for my shirt without waisting my heat transfer material (which is more expensive than paper).

After you finish cutting the heat transfer material out it is time to start weeding out the material so you can see your design.

Now that you have finished weeding, it is time to start ironing! Place your design where you would like it on your shirt and then place a cotton cloth over top of it. Start ironing over your design, follow the directions on your heat transfer packaging, they vary in how long it takes to bond it to the shirt. I have found it depends on the fabric your shirt is made out of also. You can start peeling up the plastic your design is attached to and see if it's sticking to the shirt, if not just iron it again.

I hope you love the way your shirts turn out if you decide to make them too!

Here is a couple of other designs I created also. :)
